Palm Treo 650 |
|

|

So Palm listened to what the complaints were regarding
the Treo 600 and pretty much took care of all of them. I have had the
650 since May 2005 and this device rarely, if ever locks up. It has a
gorgeous display that is 4 times the resolution of the 600. It has
Bluetooth built-in and a much faster processor, with 32 MB RAM and I have a
1 GB SD/MMC
card for my MP3's or work files.
Battery life is excellent and is now removable. Here are some of the specs on it:
- 312 MHz Intel Processor
- Palm OSŪ 5.2 software
- MMC/SD expansion card slot
- 320 x 320 TFT display with over 65,000 colors
- CDMA2000 1X technology
- Address book,to-do list, memo pad & date book
includes synchronization conduit for OutlookŪ
- GPS locator
- USB & serial connection for PDA interfaces
- Wireless e-mail applications
- HTML & other browsers --truly wireless Web surfing
- Two-way text messaging
- Infrared (IR) port
- Silent, vibrating alert
- Bluetooth 1.1 wireless support, which means I
never take the phone out of my pocket when I get in my car
- Built-in digital camera with 640 x 480 resolution

And I thought the Kyocera was cool. This PDA/Phone hybrid
does everything the Kyocera does in a much smaller package, with a
faster processor AND has a
built-in digital camera. Additionally, it doesn't lock up frequently as
the Kyocera did, runs Palm OS 5.2, has 32 MB RAM and I have a 512 MB SD/MMC
card for my MP3's or work files.
Here are some of the specs on it:
- 144 MHz ARM Processor
- Palm OSŪ 5.2 software
- MMC/SD expansion card slot
- Large, bright color display
- CDMA2000 1X technology
- Address book,to-do list, memo pad & date book
includes synchronization conduit for OutlookŪ
- GPS locator
- USB & serial connection for PDA interfaces
- Wireless e-mail applications
- HTML & other browsers --truly wireless Web surfing
- Two-way text messaging
- Infrared (IR) port
- Silent, vibrating alert

This is one cool device. It's a combination CDMA
phone & Palm device. It sends & receives email, browses the web
(both WAP & standard sites), plays MP-3's, stores & displays video,
plays games (I love Tetris!) and is just beautifully designed. It has truly replaced
3 devices -- my cell phone, my Palm V and my Diamond Rio MP3 player.
Here are some of the specs on it:
- Large, bright 65,000-color display
- Palm OSŪ 4.1 software
- MMC/SD expansion card slot
- Trimode; CDMA digital PCS,CDMA digital cellular and
analog
- CDMA2000 1X technology
- External caller ID, voice-activated dialing,
hands-free speakerphone
- Voice memos
- Address book,to-do list, memo pad & date book
includes synchronization conduit for OutlookŪ
- GPS locator
- USB & serial connection for phone & PDA interfaces
- Wireless e-mail applications
- HTML & other browsers --truly wireless Web surfing
- Two-way text messaging
- Infrared (IR) port
- Wireless fax and modem
- Silent, vibrating alert

PC Relocator Software |

You know how you feel when you're getting a new computer
-- on the one hand you're excited about the increase in speed, the
enhanced memory and the cool CD burner; on the other hand you're
dreading the process of moving all of your installed software, your
documents, your settings to the new machine. AlohaBob PC
Relocator software will do the work for you automatically. The
best way to transfer systems is to have the PC's on the same TCP/IP
network. Install a copy on the old PC and another copy on the
new PC. Then you can selectively move the files, application
software and settings that you want between the two computers.
When you're done, you can have your existing work environment, in
place, on your new computer! Pretty cool stuff.
